Talk me out of this: BMW Custom $38,000...

AutoTrader Classics - 2000 BMW Custom Convertible Gold 6 Cylinder Automatic 2 wheel drive | Hot Rods & Customs | arcadia, IN
:):):)
DESCRIPTION
Custom built exotic. Built out of a 1988 BMW 325i in the year 2000. This car drives as nice as it looks. All of the normal BMW amenities plus more. You can set the alarm and leave the top down if you wish ( alarm will allow people to stand next to the car but they can't reach in ). The trunk has a false floor that hides a built-in cooler. Gold spoke knock-off wheels. Nice stereo system with booster. BMW's onboard computer gives a wealth of information. Gas mileage usually averages 20mpg. This car is a head turner! I have had several nice cars but this one seems to appeal to all ages! Every drive you take will put a smile on your face!

this is a joke post.... right?!

Tervuren 07-31-2013 07:38 PM

Bummer man, you really need the extra that comes from a 5 series!

porsche4life 07-31-2013 08:13 PM

If he'll give me 3800, I'll put it out of its misery....

ZAMIRZ 07-31-2013 08:34 PM

Where's playa? He'd be all over that.

ckissick 07-31-2013 08:40 PM

"This car drives as nice as it looks." So, it doesn't run?

"The trunk has a false floor that hides a built-in cooler." Well, that's something, I suppose.

"This car is a head turner!" I have no doubt of that.

"Every drive you take will put a smile on your face!" Only if you're insane.

ckissick 07-31-2013 08:41 PM

It needs a propeller. Somewhere. I don't care where.

How bad can it be?

mossguy 07-31-2013 09:10 PM

I don't care for the result, but it appears to be nicely done.

It might be okay for you but for me it is way over the top. I see it and I think James Bond movies. For that kind of money I could find better ways of spending it.

herr_oberst 08-01-2013 05:47 AM

Weird. The car is craptacular in design, but like mossguy says, the level of craftsmanship seems to be pretty high. One man's vision....

Rot 911 08-01-2013 06:26 AM

Not enough bling for me.

It should have been left as a 325i! Probably sell well in the Middle East....

89911 08-01-2013 11:08 AM

I think Rodney Dangerfield drove that in Caddyshack.

It's so well integrated, I can barely tell where the BMW ends and the aftermarket parts begin. Only a true expert could guess this was ever a BMW, it's so well hidden.

Matt Smith 08-01-2013 10:31 PM

I like the car, but there's something about the transition around the A pillar that hasn't been resolved fully. Was this a Factory job or not?

mikeesik 08-01-2013 10:37 PM

Cruella Devills daughters car.
Dont think people will notice. Its beige or tan.
Needs some orange and purple.
Maybe Liberachi's Son would bite?

Enzo, you owe me a glass of wine.

When I opened this thread and saw that pic I yelled "Geeezus Cryssst", and spilled my pinot noir over my corduroy trousers. The mussus came runnern into the room and asked what's the matter, I said I'd just been violated.

Boat or airplane?

72doug2,2S 08-03-2013 06:53 AM

All I can think is why?

Not that I condone this sort of behavior, but the VW crowd has a much better transition.
