Start of the new career..
Time to let the cat out of the bag, I guess. So, I finished my course work in July and have now secured gainful employment. On August 19 I will be moving to Jacksonville Florida. I will be working as an apprentice gunsmith for Tim Ward at Gunsmiths, Inc. Although they are currently based in Brunswick, GA the shop is expanding to Jacksonville and will be based at the Jacksonville Gun Club (the oldest gun club in the nation). I am looking forward this opportunity, learning a lot more and working on some high quality firearms.

Sweet! You should plan on visiting a few of our informal matches - 2nd Sunday of each month at the Osceola Shooting Range - http://myfwc.com/media/1369624/range_brochure.pdf
We mix it up every month - some times it accuracy, sometimes its speed. Shooting starts at 9am, $5 per shooter |
Congrats on the new job!

Thanks everyone. Yes, you can ask questions. It's the answers that will cost you. :D I will be doing general gunsmithing, but there is also opportunities to work on some higher end firearms as well. Also looking forward to meeting those in the area (and shooting with them).
