Just added a new pony to the collection. This is a first model Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless born in 1909. 4" bbl (later versions had a 3 3/4" bbl) w/the 1911 style barrel bushing. Still has about 90% of the original finish w/some case colors on the barrel bushing plug! Also has the original (style) two tone magazine. Really doesn't look like it has been fired much over it's 104 years. Can't wait to take it to the range for a try!

I love old Colts. That 1903 is beautiful. Mine is in nowhere near that condition, but it's a pretty good shooter.

I desperately lust after a 1902 with the nitre bluing intact but the odds of it ever happening are slim to none.

Thanks for the compliment! I really like the old Colt revolvers and pistols, especially when they are still showing lots of the original Colt blue. The only bad thing about the Colt blue is that it is difficult to photograph well. Here is another pic, showing the right side. Phone picture is not so sharp, but at least you can see the finish better. The left grip panel is cracked, but originals are not too hard to find. The only other blemishes are a couple of spots of dried oil on the top of the slide. I think they will clean off with time.

Yes, 32 ACP. The 1908 model shown above is the same gun but in 380 ACP. The 32 version holds one more round in the mag (8 vs. 7). There are slight dimensional differences between the 1903 and 1908 guns. You can put a 1903 mag in the 1908 frame, but the 1908 mag won't go into the 1903 frame without forcing it. Both models were discontinued about the end of WWII.
