Interesting spoon

A friend of mine here in Georgia just bought this 308 AR type rifle. It is a DRD Tactical Briefcase rifle made in North Georgia. Not many are out as most of the production has been bought by the Gummint. Unfortunately, my friend suffered a stroke and will be in rehab for a while. Meanwhile, he has decided that he needs the money more than the rifle. As you can see, it disassembles (without tools) and stores in the briefcase which is 17"x12"x6". If any of you are interested, let me know and I will put you in touch with his son. Price will be somewhere between $5K and $6K.

That is awesome, looks like spy stuff.:)

Very nice. Wish I could get it.

What is the meaning of the term "spoon". I keep seeing it, but Google didnt help me any.

That is awesome, but the price is nuts. What kind of finish is that? Looks like Robar's NP3, which ain't cheap. But you should be able to build that gun for half of asking price.

Dunno about that. Gas piston, custom upper w/left side bolt handle, SCAR type stock, threaded heavy barrel, assemble/disassemble without tools?

If I had the cash & didn't live in the People's Republik of Kalifornia I'd be all over that.

BTW spoon is an NSA-friendly euphemism for firearm.

Its a secret code for the word gun that only the kids who belong to the PPOT club know.

Sorry to hear about your friend. At $5-6k for that Paratus he won't find a buyer within the armed intelligentsia, but perhaps some YouTube Ninja out there is still jonesing for one after seeing it on FPSRussia.

The guys at ARFCOM had a field day with it: PARATUS .308 CLANDESTINE BREAKDOWN SPECIAL OPS RIFLE

It's a cool set up, but I think it's a bit too expensive.

ROFL, I rest my (suit)case.

In other news, that guy with the fake Russian accent is a blithering idiot.

KaptKaos 08-29-2013 10:47 AM

Pretty wild. Needs an optic. Not sure where it would fit in that little case.

Good luck getting that to the Glorious Workers Peoples Republik of Kalifornia. 30-rd mag, no BB, good times.

No kidding. He just about blew his own fooking head off. That ought to go down in the annals of "hold my beer."

That's why we cable down doors when we blow vehicles up. We also cut the bottom and or top of the vehicle open to prevent just that.

Or you could just convert your current AR for $200.

AR-15 Covert Carry Kit - NO CASE !! $199.00

HHI944 08-30-2013 10:06 PM

please dont go giving me ideas......
$200 to turn an AR into a briefcase carry weapon.......

5K or 6K is quite a lot of money when Mr. Obama is gonna take it off you anyway. ;)

For a brief moment I thought he was going to cry.
