Question About Exhaust (Mufflers)
 

Looking at other muffler options. Would a different muffler really increase HP? Also, what do you all think makes it sounds the best?

Oh ya, what would hapen if you removed the muffler entirely? Besides sounding rediculous load, would it increase HP?

A certain amount of back pressure is required. Definitely a science.

Yup. Some factory exhaust systems are very well engineered, while others are pretty restrictive. Big gains can normally be had on turbo cars by installing a catless downpipe. Simply swapping mufflers isn't usually worth much.
