RIP Ken Norton
First Frazier, now Norton and recently Tommy Morrison...the heavyweights are dropping like flies. It's a tough life.
Norton used to live part of the time up the street from my HS in Mpls. in the early/mid '70s, he was a living legend. He beat Ali. RIP... ![]()

its sad to see some of the big names going, Norton was from the era where boxing and heavyweights were King. The state of boxing today is sad compared to the Norton era and no matter how big the hype is - MMA just doesn't do it for me.

My understanding was when the Rocky franchise was Huge, he was picked to be the opponent that Carl Weathers (sp?) ended up with. Reason? Ken turned the part down!!
