"Major" relationship problem, "seeking" advice....

OMG!!!!! I could NOT believe it!!!!!

We went to a wedding (her best friend's) and I snagged a GREAT piece of ......wedding cake...... for later! Found a take home box, wrapped it up tight, set it aside with warning notes and ownership vouchers!

I must mention this was a very, very good cake!!! Moist with an excellent frosting! Cook would NOT give me her frosting recipe. I BEGGED!!!!!!

Went to go devour the cake and my loving partner of more than 21 years had disposed of it in the trash!!!!

Bummed, now I need to know what do to about this MAJOR transgressionSmileWavySmileWavySmileWavy

Feed her shoes to the dog.

Someone needs a spankin' :D

Arrr!

You don't say if you simply told her you were saving the cake for later. Communication may have been the problem. Your enthusiasm may not have been evident to her, you might have to hide your disappointment too! And what was the timing of all this - hours, days, weeks??

Guess you can't have your cake and eat it too!

matt f 09-18-2013 08:33 AM

If the cake was still in the box, pull out of trash and eat.

BlueSkyJaunte 09-18-2013 08:40 AM

The flipside: I would have forgotten I had brought it home, and my wife would have ignored it for several weeks until it crawled off into the trash on its own.

Seems reasonable.

GH85Carrera 09-18-2013 09:45 AM

Are you SURE she just threw it out? How do you know she did not eat it and just say it was thrown out?

Back when I was a bachelor I had a cup of yogurt that sat in the fridge so long it came to life.
I taught it to sing opera, talk about culture.

ba da bump.

But serial folks, I once grew my own bathmat.

rimshot don't forget to tip the waitress.

I always look to Monty Python for relationship advice.

Tie her down, give her a good spanking, and then the oral sex.

Monty Python Holy Grail - A spanking!

Agreed, this^^^ plus this:

"Well she sort of looks like the sort of woman that would eat the last pancake without asking. However I could live with that."
(from the Scarlett Johansson thread, thanks to Kach22i.)

Case closed.
