Again, many in-home defensive shootings involve physical contact between the assailant and the occupant. This is far more difficult with a shotgun than with a sidearm that can be held back out of the assailant's reach while the homeowner essentially stiffarms him. |
The wife does like the little 5 shot .38 S&W I got her for Christmas the first year we were married, scored a lot of points with the father in law too. Second she got the paper off it he sees that little plastic case and says, "Far out." She says, "What." He recognized what it was immediately, she had to open the box and look.
I was thinking I was going to need to get her a little 9 when I got my Mini 14, now it looks like a little compact one for me. Single stack, Sig 938 looks pretty good. |
Tobra, check out the Sig P232 SL, 380 or 9mm kurz ( short ), sweet rig.

Colt .380. .....http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1380550615.jpg

I have the 1903 and the 1922 in .380ACP
They are nice. I keep trying to find a "wreck" which I wouldn't mind doing a strip, polish and robar coating job. |
I have one of these. My wife likes to shoot this one too. Will eat .38/.357 and is 7-shot. 4" barrel is a nice compromise length.

If it is a Colt 380 then it is a 1908, not a 1903.

Yes, but we also call the Pocket Vest in .25ACP the 1908.
Technically, the .32ACP and the .380ACP are the M1903 and M1908, respectively. And a Browning 1910 was used to start WWI http://www.deactivated-guns.co.uk/im...0/IMG_5196.jpg I have a later model, the 1922 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._1922_1850.jpg |
love those James. I would like to add one to my collection as well some day. Very nice.

A lot of the 1922's were made for the Nazis in WWII by FN, under occupation.

|
That looks like a complete ripoff
