Bathurst 1000, Mt. Panorama
 

One of the great races anywhere, anytime, and I'll be darned if I can find it on a TV schedule this year. It's this weekend. Does anyone have any idea which network, if any, will televise it? I'd sure hate to miss this great racing.

I watched part of it a couple of years ago right before an F1 race and really enjoyed it. I am sure you can find it on some not quite kosher streaming website.

It's a great track to race in Real Racing 3 on my iPad.

TV does it no justice. It really is a hell of a race track. Very steep, very narrow through the cuttings and most of the apexes are blind. A very fast, technical and unforgiving track. I have driven around it a number of times, and competed there one at a state hillclimb event.

The support races such as the Musclecar Masters, Commodore Cup and HQ Racers are often more entertaining than the main event.

I watched it in the US in 2011 on Speed.

I'm not 100% sure that it's free, but I think you can sign up and stream coverage here. I've watched local races online and never had to pay for it, though.

I don't think they have a paywall or geoblocking on the stream but if they do just use a vpn or proxy service, like we have to do to access US internet.

I Have seen the Bathurst race there a couple of times on the tube and agree, great race track and usually exciting race with the V8 super cars. Great series.

Pretty sure I watched it last year via the organizer's website and with audio commentary provided by the Radio LeMans guys. Don't think it was on television. It looks like madness and I can't wait to visit someday.
