Nissan Jeep Like Vehicle?

In Colorado today, saw a jeep like Nissan. Looks similar to the old Toyota open top Land Cruisers but was a Nissan. Anyone know what this car was and if it's available in the US? It looks retro but modern at the same time.

Couldn't grab a picture in time.

You could buy them here in the US in the 60's... pretty limited availability. They were not uncommon in Colorado.

Toyota Land Cruiser ate them alive in sales.

They are capable off road rigs just like LCs. Smog reg is what kept them out of the US I think?

"US customers could only get Patrols from 1962 until 1969. An extra long wheelbase version, the H60, was also available."

A friend's parents had a Nissan Patrol when I was a kid in the 60s. It was slow, loud, rattled like a tin can full if nickels, drove like a tractor, and it was very cool. We used to take it on rock-climbing excursions. We sat in back on bench seats that faced each other, running parallel to the length of the car. We put the packs, ropes, carabiners, etc. on the floor between us at our feet. Good times.

Brilliant.

Nissan Patrol with the top off. It looked brand new so must have been a recently restored. Beautiful car with that old retro look.

Thanks for the information.
