Darn Pelican Green font ruins everything...
So we got a holiday e-mail from our VP which made me laugh when I looked at her font color choices.
I have pasted a portion below: Happy holidays ! Whether your holiday involves watching children open presents under a tree or any of a million other holiday traditions, I hope that you are home, with loved ones, enjoying amazing, precious time with family and friends. As you take time to slow down over the holidays a few thoughts… First, thank you for the impact you make! This team is so committed, and so often sacrifices time with the loved ones to serve our customers and to help our colleagues. I am amazed by the volume of ‘great job’ and other emails I receive, recognizing teammates and entire teams for making enormous impact both externally and internally. Please know, I sincerely appreciate all that you do, serving our customers, our colleagues and our shareholders and am grateful for the sacrifices you make for this great company and our customers. THANK YOU! With the green font, all I could think of, is her saying, now get back to work, you aren't helping us earn money if you are at home. I know she was being sincere, but reading it in Green and being a longtime Pelican, green writing has warped my mind. Hope everyone is having a happy holiday!

That's all well and good but...
Are you an engaged employee? Apparently, that is the new tagline for companies.

Ha ha! Totally.
This is hilarious. I find myself wanting to type in green font and realize nobody else will know what it means. |
