A new Liquor

Okay, so I am not a big fan of sweet alcoholic drinks... about as sweet as I like to get is amaretto on the rocks... but, my sister turned me on to a drink that is pure heaven. That is, if you are in the mood for something with a sweet after taste to it. Figured since this was New Years, that I would fill you in. The drink is a rum and it is called Rum Chata. Now, if you are familiar with the Mexican Horchata which is a drink made from rice water, sugar and cinnamon, You will really like the Rum Chata. It is basically like taking a shot of a liquid cinnamon roll with a whipping cream chaser. I couldn't / wouldn't drink this stuff all the time, but it has a very nice flavor by itself. My sister says that she mixes it with a caramel apple flavored vodka to make some kind of mixed drink that she says is very good, but I have not tried it yet... will pass the drink along when I get the info...

It's liquid "Cinnamon Toast Crunch".

My wife tried it when we were camping with friends and she loved it.

Never a fan of sweet liquor, but when I tended bar in my early years I used to float a bit of Amaretto Disaronno over vodka on the rocks. Quite nice.
Now it's just vodka, tonic, w/lime.

Has anyone tried Ole Smoky Moonshine "Apple Pie"? Mmmmm

Best rum I've ever had was from Australia. I believe it was called Bundeberg (or something close to that). Smooth, semi-sweet...went down WAY too easy.

We used to mix that with pineapple juice and called it 'swampwater'.

My wife got me started on the carmel vodka mixed with spiced cider.
