Netflix.....'Red Rocket'
A movie that shows the under-belly of America....very entertaining and well acted.

^^^ Have you seen it already? It didn't look very promising in the first 10 minutes...but it got better.
The main character did a great job with his part.

I've got a 'Red Robin' down the street.

Yes sir we watched a year or two ago and thought it was quite funny, and the fact we live not far from, made it hit close to home.

^^^ Ahh...I see.
There were some real 'characters' in this movie.
I knew a guy in HS that could have been the main character in real life....always looking to scam someone.

For some historical action--more series than movies

The "Horatio Hornblower" series for nautical buffs

"Sharpe's Rifles" with Sean Bean set during the Napoleonic Wars

'The Forgiven' on Netflix
Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastain in a thriller in the Moroccan Desert.
Slow moving, but good.

I thought Matt Damon and Big Ben Affleck were much much better than that. Again it was awful.

Watched THE RIP also. Overly long with some really dumb stuff. The story was interesting but some smaller details stood out. Like getting shot in the leg but not being rushed to hospital??? She just limped around until the final count, hand over and ending.

Also... Is this just me or: The Cartels somehow seemed reasonable and decent? Like since when?
