Broncos fans said it was a boring game and I don't blame them. But for us Seahawks fans it was great fun to watch, especially after getting it taken from us by bad refereeing in 2006. (They basically admitted it later.) Young team that sticks together and is led by an excellent coach. Let's hope we can have a dynasty of our own here in Seattle.

So should the NFL refer to Superbowl champs as "World Champs??" There are no international NFL teams...I always wonder if National Champs would be more appropriate.
Now if the Jags move to London as the rumors have it, then they would World Champs be justified?

Why not call them World Champs, does some other country have a team that can beat them? now, anyplace, so they are the best in the world that day.

Seahawks must have one heck of a research team to know that fast what the Bronco's were doing.

No big surprise. The Broncos danced with the girl what brung them......dink passes, picks, crossing pattern underneath.....all put up against average coverage by a guy under no pressure, and hits that rattled some cages. They had never seen such speed on that run to the ball DEFENSE. The Broncos didn't/couldn't adjust. By the time they tried to go down field their offensive line was beat to death & couldn't protect Manning......or he had happy feet . The Hawks put on pressure everywhere. The Broncos have a decent defense but stacked to stop Lynch. I figure it was a "We're gonna make that new kid QB beat us" defense. He did. None of them Hawk recievers got any respect.......oops. Blame the whole debacle on the Bronco coaching staff.

A great read for ANY football fan:
The Big Scrum: How Teddy Roosevelt Saved Football: John J. Miller: 9780061744525: Amazon.com: Books ![]() From the NYTimes: "On the first page of “The Big Scrum: How Teddy Roosevelt Saved Football,” John J. Miller’s informative account of Roosevelt’s impact on the sport’s early years, readers are taken back to 1876 and a contest between Harvard and Yale. It was the first game Roosevelt, then an 18-year-old Harvard freshman, ever attended, and it propelled him into a lifelong love of the sport. Its physical dangers, he thought, helped build character. Dangerous it certainly was. In its earliest forms, football veered toward the brutishness of English rugby, and by the time of Roosevelt’s presidency, it had resulted in a rash of player deaths (18 in 1905 alone). To save the game from those who wanted to abolish it completely, Roosevelt used the “bully pulpit” to push for enormous rules changes to improve safety. But he obviously had mixed feelings. In 1895 he wrote that he wanted to eliminate “needless brutality,” but that he would rather keep the game as it was than lose it completely.

Greatest game ever for this long suffering Seahawks fan. A throw back to the 90s when the NFC dominated. I did however pick all AFC players in my fantasy playoff & won $300. I admit, I was skeptical when they hired Pete & wondered about how the GM relationship would work. I had my doubts about Russell Wilson after watching Rookie of the Year Rick Mirer melt down his sophomore year. They have developed a formula for success that will hopefully give them an edge for at least a few years.
The NFC West alone is a brutal division, any of those teams would have dominated Denver. Philly & Carolina are the only other teams in the conference that I feel are ascending. The AFC is a mess, just look at what the Pats did last year. A team that thin would have never made it through the NFC with a winning record, even with Brady (my favorite player). The AFC needs to find more young superstars, Luck is the real deal, but I don't see anybody else. I wish they'd steal Cam Newton.

One of our Pelican brothers has inside info that Manning called his own game. And that the Denver OC is just a figurehead. You stand officially corrected, sir.
