last hours

waiting on a vet buddy of mine to arrive to take McQueen down. he turned 13 last jan 17 and has been getting steadily worse over the winter. he is a prc legend! he's attended every track & race weekend ive ever been to and it wont be the same without him in two weekends at sears. I am sure our brother racers will miss his barking whenever applause broke out as their name was called for a podium finish at the post race awards meeting. I will.

our last track day was a test session at his favorite track, sears point back on feb 14. back in October when we packed up for the last event to head home I thought it was his last day at the track. im glad he rallied to make the test day last month, just wish he was fit for a whole race weekend the 15/16 so his prc buddies could send him off. not meant to be, his rear legs are bad, his attitude is good, his picture will be taped to the inside of my my car when it goes green a week from this sat. not started crying yet, kinda why I did this post, to keep my mind on I before E except after C.

proud to have called him my dawg!

alright, last one. here he is being shamed after having chewed the finger tip off my 1st pair of nomex gloves during a drive to thunder hill. actually it worked out well. the right inex finger being bare made it easy to operate the video camera while strapped in. he always knew what I needed.

We're going to miss him.

Very sorry for you, bro!

It took a few events for him to stop barking at me. He hasn't barked at me in years.

Read a story about a dog chewing off his owner's foot, while he was asleep.
It turned out the owner had diabetes, and his foot was full of cellulitis and gangrene which would have killed him in a day or so.
Dog saved his life.
They are like that.

My condolences to you and Don. It's not easy.

Love his look of guilt. My dog does the same when we catch him trying to sneak off with a sock that was left within his reach. So funny.

Sorry for your loss.
