not to put them down in ANY way. its a tough location, perhaps why they ditched the plane in that are. i wonder why they dont get the support of an air craft carrier down there? too far away? one of the reasons i dont watch the news. |

Everyone got sick going through that area. Most of the ship smelt like vomit, piss and poo mixed together. :( |

everything is serialized, and can be cross checked with maintenance and install records. |

Q: Has there in recent years (say in the last 20), any large commercial civilian plane with advanced comm. and avionics completely lost without any trace or answer to what happened?

Far from every part of an aircraft is serialized. And then you make the assumption that figuring out if that serial number is related to that aircraft is easy, far from it. True Boeing knows what it left the factory with, but after that you are piecing througt the records of the aircraft operators ( I don't know if this aircraft was delivered to Malaysian directly from Boeing) to see what has been changed. Human nature being what it is, the older the aircraft the more difficult the task. Having said that, I cannot understand why every body is seeking some sort of sinister answer to what occured. There is not enough info out there to say this was intentional or anything else, better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt as the saying goes lol. |
Question. Why would a pilot or a terrorist fly a perfectly good airplane towards the south pole until it ran out of fuel and hit the water? I don't get it. No publicity, no ransom demands, no leveraging their holdings to some end. Just fly it into the water? What are we missing here?

also, seeding the ocean with derbies from the aircraft after stealing it, this far out of everyone's way is practically impossible. one owuld have to have landed the aircraft, removed said large hunk, put it on a boat, sail it out to this random corner of the ocean, dump it, and run off, without anyone noticing. good luck with that. its always been an accident, or possibly suicide. no conspiracy here. |

EgyptAir Flight 990 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |
When they find the plane, they could look at the bodies to determine if they died from the plane ascending to 45000 to suffocate everyone, inhalation of smoke, or impact with the water. Well, if they found it promptly. There's still stuff they would be able to tell from the plane when they find it I guess.

I watched a simulation of that and as the plane was going down and the pilot was trying to recover, it shook so violently that the engine fell off. Terrifying. |

I was thinking the plane was hijacked - but somehow afterwards had an accident. Or the accident could have happened during the hijacking. You're saying an accident.....but no hijacking? |
