Xhose
Is the X-hose any good? Or just a long, tubular Shamwow?
|
What is it?

This the expanding garden hose sold at 3am on TV?
|
I've got the 50' x 3/4" version with solid brass fittings (NO PLASTIC!).
Anything thinner than 3/4" is too small. It works well and I'm happy with it, but it expands and contracts slower than on TV. Takes prolly a minute to shrink back down (insert sophomoric joke here). I was skeptical but got it for Christmas and I'm happy with it. Lots better than dragging out and putting away a big bulky regular hose. The unknown is how long will it last. Lots of cheaper versions out there, buyer beware. |

Haha. It looks rude when expanding.

Had 1, it split. Seems to have been a common problem (google it) but supposedly fixed.
Worked great when it worked, but my 10+ YO garden hoses are still holding up strong. Bad reviews (2 star) on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/09114-Xhose-50-Feet-Incredible-Expanding/product-reviews/B00AOVH60M?pageNumber=3 |
Had 2 of them, both lasted a season or less. Developed a bunch of little pinhole leaks. One completely split. This was an older model, but makes me unlikely to buy them again. They were nice while they worked.

Seems like a solution to a problem no one is having. Too expensive for 50 feet of 3/4 hose to have it last only a year or two.
|
What does one plan to use it for?
I don't think you could suck a golf ball through it though. |
