We have a 09 328i. Only issue we have had with it was the heater core needed flushing.

It has 70k and is a pretty great car.

Have you consider the CNG cars? Free toll and diamond lane use, I heard a local contractor had all his trucks converted for that reason.

The depreciation is severe but it's actually a factor working in my favor because I want a cheap used one. Thanks for the real world data point. :)
