Do it do it do it do it do it!

We heard about them from Ian and stayed in the Parador in Carmona (just outside Seville) and it was the highlight of our trip. Great buildings, great views (from our room at least) and good food. The restaurant was far from the best we had, but still good. The breakfast was phenomenal - two huge trays of meats, cheeses and pastries, very good coffee, with wide open french doors looking out across the Spanish countryside. Probably out best memory of the trip. And ours didn't even make the top 10 of all the Paradors.

All good advice but....

Don't forget to put some Luz Casal in your itunes collection before you go.....

The paradores look excellent. We'll do more research on them. Looks like a great place to stay and explore during the evening.

If you need a lunch break as you head north from Barcelona, stop in Figueres & see the Dali Museum - that he designed.

You certainly are traveling fast. I would probably spend 2 weeks doing what you are planning for 5 days.

So finally Motion and Mrs. Motion made it to Madrid and we went out for some wines and tapas. We even managed to sneak into a private party :cool: and stay out of trouble despite the ladies' efforts :eek:
