OT.....home multimedia is fun.........

i just got done wiring my apartment so i can watch anything (dvd/digitalcable/vcr) in any of the 3 bedrooms/living room/dining room(pooltable/computer). this is all thanks to my 3 year old marantz sr7000 (killer multiroom control/switching). i also used a pair of recoton rf headphones that'll work anywhere on any source.
and as soon as my new computer is built i'll be able to feed video also from the comp (can only do audio now from my current comp)
.......s-video along with coax too, so i'll be able to have access to my cable modem or analog cable everywhere too when needed.
i've done this stuff for years proffesionally but never had "motivation" to do my own setup.
just felt like sharing

I know a guy that uses a PC as his television. He has a LCD projector mounted to the ceiling of his living room, aimed as a white wall, with a wireless keyboard and mouse. The system has a DVD drive, TV tuner card, and surround sound, and it works really well. It is set up so the display is about 7 feet diagonally.

Pretty slick setup.

I've got a system like that too, with a 52*92 inch screen and a networked flat panel monitor/tv in the kitchen. I highly recommend it!
