Asian women browsing....

Guys,

I am not much of a computer specialist, but am I the only one getting these pop ups with free slutty asian women all the time here?

I am beginning to get wiser on how Wayne can afford all them nice P-cars :)

Chrome + Ad blocking extension = no more banner ads.

Ad Block, Ad Block Plus, Ad Guard all work. I think I prefer Ad Guard of the three. I switched over to it from Ad Block Plus and things have sped up a little. -J

masraum 07-10-2014 02:57 PM

what ads?

Firefox, noscript, adblock plus --> no ads

Most of the ads are retargets.

Meaning they are related to things you've recently searched / googled.

Asian women browsing....

I have been seeing ads for hot weather hats. Nothing like those ads.

bivenator 07-10-2014 03:54 PM

Your are lucky, I got a dating site for Muslim women on here a few weeks ago. I probably was surfing a site for a PARF discussion and triggered the ad. The womans picture for the ad was pretty hot burka babe but I don't think I will sign up.

matt f 07-10-2014 03:58 PM

I'm getting solicitations from Plastic/Reconstructive surgeons for penile reduction.:D

Yes, I use incognito on Google Chrome, when I look at err, other sites, and it still comes up with the girls for dates ad's. So don't trust incognito.

Might want to re-think your logic.

Correct. Or start looking for amazons with large hips...

widebody911 07-10-2014 05:25 PM

Firefox + AdBlock Edge (not adblock plus - they sold out and now let ads through for the highest bidder)

Re: redirects......I'm a seller on Amazon.com and consistently have ads for my own products pop up. Especially on Facebook

Man, I look for hot Asians and I get

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1405049086.jpg

Is Google trying to tell me something? This is worse than a Viagra ad.

Exactly!

I'm only 55, much too young to know about that sort of stuff.

Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats. http://healthusb.com/hu7i.jpg

The bulk are through: http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead or http://a.adroll.com. As I recall Wayne uses Google (as in no privacy) for a lot of his web stuff.

those targeted adds are effective. They are always trying to sell me tires tools and used cars, even pelican parts add pop up sometimes.

I think these companies forgot one thing though, people hate being targeted. I think smart people at ad agencies assume that bringing people ads for stuff they may want is a good thing.

I think the reality is most will resent being snooped on and will decrease not increase sales. Im sure there is data to prove me wrong or they wouldent do it however.

Watch how smart companies like NewEgg do it.

Sometimes I'll be waiting for a deal on something so I intentionally do a search on their site for specific products then for the next week I get ads with deals, which change daily, specific to what I'm waiting for a deal on.

Saves me from having to regularly check them or read the newsletter.

Clear your browser cache and cookies from time to time. If you want, you can clear it every time you exit (depending on your browser). You can probably Google instructions for it.

For tablets it may not be as convenient.

Sites you visit may keep these cookies to track you, and will be read to show targeted ads.

Keeps Google Search free I guess.
