You just never know

Out on a date last night, was parking when this guy on a lit-up bike comes over and proclaims he loves the car. Big toothless grin as he goes on a little to sing it's praises. We talk for the next 20 minutes or so about the car and his 1954 Buick and the latest offerings from Ferrari, in detail. He wanted to and took some "art shots" of the car. We got a shot of him, he did sign a model release.

Such a nice and gregarious man, it was completely random and a real pleasure to meet a true car guy, on a lit-up bike in a Cat in the Hat jersey.

Tell us about the date...any photos of her? Any tattoos? ;)

Nickshu 07-25-2014 06:51 AM

You carry a model release form around in your car? Phone app?

LOL, no, it's an old joke here on OT, Halloway posted some seriously creepy pics of a young woman in his home writing up an estimate to fix his roof. It was OK since she signed a model release, or something like that. Just a joke.

She rides a Ducati Monster. I did come to find out she has 2 tattoos.

Is his lit up bike leaning up against your fender?

You had a great opportunity to impress her when she told you that. "Hey, the Shaunster's got a monster you can ride baby!"

You guys offer priceless entertainment almost everyday...

Hope the date went well, Shaun!

Tobra 07-25-2014 11:37 AM

Speaking of monsters, don't show any of these mugs pics, no good can come of it.

Things people do and say are often completely unpredictable.

Just returned from the local grocery store. Walked in just in front of a very weathered, slow moving, tooth-challenged 60ish woman who stopped to power through her cigarette before entering. We encountered her again in the donut section where she laid into a worker about the lack of a "sodium label" on the store's fresh donuts. Brilliant!

I'm not seeing a kickstand and no blanket on the fender. Must have photo shopped in the bike, no way it is touching the car.

bmcuscgr94 07-26-2014 11:38 AM

wheels turned to right, so backside of tire sticking out from wheel well enough to lean bike against it without touching car body?

Shaun @ Tru6 07-26-2014 12:13 PM

I put his bike up against the car, it's getting paint this winter.

LOL! Yeah, the potential for "crazier than a $hit-house rat" lurks just below the gregarious façade.
