Ever deal with Wolfsburg Tuning?

I am about to send the transmission valve body from my Cayenne Turbo S off to Wolfsburg Tuning to be rebuilt.

Ever heard of them? Ever deal with them? Any good?

They are located in Florida and when I google map their address, I don't see a business with their name on the door.

10911 Harmony Park Dr?

Yeah looks like that building belongs to Moving Crew Inc and not one that would house a machine shop.

Looks more like where they would be but don't see a suite with their signage.

Looks like cars are parked on both sides of the office park in front of a sidewalk. No driveway or semi-delivery access.
Not really a place to have a shop.
(However that could be their business mailing address, which would be a little unusual.)

Maybe hold off on that plan and get more information.

Look for other businesses in the same building. Call the place next door and ask for the shop and see what they say. “Oops, called the wrong number”.

Does not look like a machine shop at either of the two addresses.

An explanation for that, and based in part on their website, sheer number of parts, these guys are drop shippers or the locations are simply administrative offices with a ware house somewhere else.

They are not rebuilding your specific valve body, you are sending yours as a core so they may not have a machine shop because they don't need one.

From their site

Valve Body Core Returns

You must use the provided label to return the core. You must return within 10 business days of receipt in order to receive your core charge refund. The warranty will be void and the refund will not be issued if we do not receive the core within 10 days. In the event that you are located outside of the U.S. you are responsible for return shipment.

Please make sure all fluid has drained out of the core. We prefer for it to be wrapped in some type of plastic before placing it in the box.

They don't have mine... they would need to rebuild it.

I called one of the other businesses at that location (per 70satMan's excellent suggestion) and they said that many businesses operate out of that location. They also suggested I search them on sunbiz.org which is a listing of all florida businesses and shows if they are active, etc.

Seems legit.

They do not list a phone number. We don't do business with any other business that we do not have a phone number for....

How much are you saving vs getting a Porsche one (shipping both ways on your part etc)?? You are spending a lot of time just seeing if you should send a part to this place....

Cheers

Fair point.

I don’t chase people who make it difficult for me to give them
money.

Usually doesn’t end well.

It’s about a $1300 saving. I spoke with a local transmission mechanic and he told me what to try first… and directed me to the technical manuals for this tranny.
