I flew in "Fat Albert" during an airshow in Rochester one year.

Really cool video!

I thought it was interesting seeing how loose the helmet chin straps all are, and how much they move around in the cockpit. wow.

I'm curious how military pilots view demonstration teams. Is it considered a dream assignment? The level of precision required to do such things must be intense. How does one go about joining one of these teams?

They find you and you can apply. It's the top of the top.

For some reason, that location looks like Lake Washington.

I been there, many times for Seafair. I've even been on the log boom a couple of times.

But I have never seen the lake from that perspective. I watched again, and the log boom is clearly visible.

Cool video, in any case. I like the pilot's method for helping himself deal with the Gs he's pulling.

That's is also a great tour of Lake Washington. When we lived in Seattle the Blue Angels were a highlight of our summer, one of things I miss most!
