Oh well.
I like to suffer .......

You're obviously kidding. 964...3.6L, first car with coil-overs, same raw feel and sound as the 3.2 and 3.0 cars. I like em. By now, the oil leak issues on most of the 964's have been resolved through rebuilds. The make great PCA race cars :D

Us wasser pumper guys are seriously under represented. ;)

In 1999 or 2000 the answer might be "no", certainly from me you water pumper. But in 2014, any argument against liquid cooling is weak. The real issue is wet sump vs. dry sump. I now have both.

Yup, kidding. Love that thing.
Yes, I have owned earlier ones.

Started here under another user name when this forum started. Same old 930 I've had since 85 and same old 356 since 91. The 356 is going under the knife to have all bondo replaced with metal, and another paint job. It's 4th. It has been my dd for the last 5 years. The 930 has had another round of upgrades recently and turns to my dd while the 356 is under the knife. Since I've only driven it less than 10k miles in all those years I'm looking forward to this fall:)

The things I knew about Porsches were that they are air col and the motor is in the back and that I wanted one since high school. Bought a 930 from a my mechanic who was building a house and ended the money. Started in tech section and those guys taught me everything there is to know about air cool 911s. So I stop going there and come here for a beating and talk a little bit of siht. I check in here very late after or during my paper work is done. Currently have a 930, and bought a 993TT early this year but have not had a chance to get it out of the guy's warehouse. Can't wait to install a new set of tires and all fluids change out. It has 18,000 on it with a tricked motor. It was opened up about 7k miles ago for some upgraded work.

Joined when I had an air-cooled 911SC.
Now I have a liquid cooled 996.

Had three 911's, loved this place, sold them, haven't left yet.

Found out about PP after I bought my 84 911 Targa, bought it on a whim (wifey said go for it). Didn't do a PPI, it ran, didn't seem to leak oil and went for it. A good friend of mine's brother worked for PP, and does again, he suggested it. My first search was on the auto-heat. It wasn't working. After looking at all the wiring in the electrical diagrams I'm thinking WTF? I'll never figure this out. My 1st search on auto-heat turned up a thread that said it had a plastic ball and socket linkage under the plastic cover that can come loose and pop out. 4 allen screws later I snapped it back into place with a small wire tie to hold it in. I thought what an excellent place to be hanging!

The only thing I "hate" about my Targa is the A/C, it sucks and its also an aftermarket on my ROW. IIRC I bought a new Toyota in 84 and the A/C actually worked. According to my profile, I've been here 11 years and a few months.

The Trophy Wife says I spend too much time here. I point out that I'm not at a pool hall or a titty bar, I'm in the next room. I've also met about about 100 Pelicans or more from around the World.
