I sympathise with you. But... I have a dog, a German Wirehaired Pointer for 6 years now. Always left outside while we're out and I had no idea it barked until I went round to complain to a neighbour about him cutting my hedge and he launched into a tirade about my dog. I kind of played it down but bought an anti bark collar. It seems to work. But who knows… They haven't mentioned it again. I would say don't suffer in silence, at least point out the issue, they may not even know it exists. Voice concern that the dogs not well?

TRAIN HORN!! Ha, Guess that gets the message across.
There are dog owners that have gotten so used to their barking/yapping dogs noise, they seem not to even hear or notice any more. Not so their neighbors or others in the area. Been seeing / hearing this in RV parks some too. Annoying ! But at least you can move easily. Much tougher deal with a neighbor, good luck with that. |

I don't like it when my own dogs bark...well, dog, now.
My guy barks when he hears the mailbox lid close - postman.

Had a neighbor who was out of town a lot. His kids would have huge, loud parties, but the father was buddies with the local constabulary, because he sported them meals at his restaurant. Nothing in the way of consequences for that, ever, even if we called the cops, they would come out and not break up the party. The son was home from college for the summer, and had a dog he would tie up in the yard, and the dog would bark incessantly. I went to speak to the man of the house, who was out of town, again. I asked the son if he could put the dog in the house, or tie it up on the other side of the house. He got very confrontational, wanted to fight, called me a pussy as I walked away from the fight he was after. Stopped and pet the dog as I was leaving, "Nice looking dog, shame if something was to happen to him." He never left that dog out again. Next time I am in the area, I need to swing by and dump a bag of quick set cement in his sewer clean out.

I spent my teenage years living in the country and dogs barking is music to my ears. It sure winds some people up though. I have a NO BARKING rule around my house. Not even the postman, as much fun as that may be.

Tried to visit neighbors twice. Not home. Maybe the damn dog needs a Xanax or something. My dogs wear bark collars with dead batteries. They still don't bark.

Confession time. I was working on the roof one day and the neighbor's dogs kept barking at me incessantly. Suddenly THAT WAS IT. I got my slingshot out and shot them up with it and they haven't barked at me since.

I have the same exact problem. Well, almost... but replace barking with wild screaming and replace dogs with neighborhood children between the ages of 4 and 6.
I've been meaning to talk to the neighbors about some training or maybe one of those anti-bark collars but I'm just not sure they will see my side of it..

My in-laws have 2 Puggles that bark constantly and I won't let them outside because of it...they're obnoxious. Also, at their old house, their neighbors would come over an complain regularly...I'm waiting for the new neighbors to start betchin'.
Its really quite strange to me, as my 2 dogs are out there and will only bark to alert of someone entering the property. Meanwhile the other two bug-eyed, fat, brainless, smelly, schiut recycling machines are out there yapping away at nothing all day long. To the point where it's obvious that even my dogs are annoyed by them.
