Any Pelican USPS postal employees, need help

I sent a priority package (if it fits it ships, as well as insured) to a fellow Pelican and while I thought I had the address correct I had everything correct except I left off an "E" or EAST for East Sesame ST. I have been tracking the package and it did not get delivered. Needless to say both myself and my fellow Pelican are concerned it will get lost in the system. Anyone have any experience with a situation like this and if so, do you think the package will ever make it to it's final destination and my patient Pelican friend?? I'm hoping that a PRIORITY package would not be delivered to someone of another name. Oh yeah, and there is an address within a few miles that has the same number and name but is a Parkway and not a Street and does not carry an East as part of the name??.

I know, my bad. I screwed up. You need to put out an Amber alert to speak to someone in the USPS as it's all done by automated phone service. If I could, I would call the PO where the package was delivered but that seems almost impossible as they all have the same damn number.

Very puzzling situation.

Maybe the receiving Pelican can fly over, I mean drop by, the PO where the package is.

call the post office, they can re-route it. I've talked with main # PO CS a lot. If you want to find local PO phone number, type in city, state and "post office" in Google.

I don't think you'll have a problem, one advantage of using the PO is the regular carrier usually has all the names and addresses memorized, where any of the other guys just generally look at the address and drop it. I would still call, just in case.

Yep, my wife tracked a package she sent to her parents to Dallas (they don't live there), where at this point it's basically stopped for a couple of weeks. USPS doesn't answer any questions when she sends the tracking number.

I called USPS 800# last evening...got a Philippina...couldn't understand a word she said.
After saying, "Forgive me, would you repeat that, please?" a hundred times, I hung up on her.

Agree, actually.
My carrier is a good guy...asked me if I wanted him to sign for packages.
I said, "Sure!"
'Course, I give him cash in a card each Christmas.

Members of the 12/25 club always receive upgraded service! Plus a regular carrier usually takes care of his customers.

It should make it, because the handlers will know the local area.

However, if it doesn't show up it means your package has just been robbed by the USPS.

That happened to me TWICE- both times the package was robbed and eventually found, empty.

Lesson learned- tape the HELL out of your packages, and wrap items in paper so they give no indication there is anything good inside- both times tools were lost- a Cman wrench set I was giving to a kid, and a set of Snap-On sockets I bought. They sounded like tools in the box. Make it so even if it falls of the top of the truck there's no way it will open.

Also, you need insurance- BUT you need proof that the item was in there, but also a recent receipt showing you truly lost something of value.

No receipt, no payment- and may God help you if you need to file a claim- it took me 5 months to get my $$$$ back out of them.
