Trash Can Soda
 

Twice in the last month I have seen 2 people get a used cup out of the trash can at a restaurant and take it up and get a FREE refill. Any one else seen this?

Disgusting! and just typical of society today.

One day a guy walked over and said "I hope you enjoyed your meal sir." and took the tray. I of course thought he worked there, then he went over with the cup and got a free refill.

Yeah, I'm cheap but not that cheap! I will admit to gorging on soda when there are free refills... even to the point of filling one last cup "for the road"... which usually gets tossed out untouched later.
I work downtown, lots of homeless... people sleeping on the sidewalks... not unusual to see people pulling food out of the trash and eating it... nothing would surprise me at this point.
