NFL playoffs

Admittedly not a huge fan of pros but did tune in to the weekend's games and was pleased the Pats, Packers, and Hawks all won.

Not a big Indy fan except for Andrew Luck so there's that I guess. Also seeing the Broncos go down was a bit satisfying. :)

What say ye?

Who ya got next week?

:)

Patriots game was quite the deal....have a lady friend with a Patriots logo tattooed on her...well, tattoed..

She is quite happy and so am I!

I really got tired of the penalties being reviewed by someone other than the guy on the field. Call what you saw and keep playing the game IMHO.

The Cowboys lost.....I'm happy. I had gotten to thinking that all close calls went
their way.
I would have rather have the Hawks go up against Romeo than Rodgers, tho.
Rodgers is less likely to throw an Int.

All but the Colts/Broncos were pretty damn good games. I'm not super into the NFL either, so I'm just hoping for an entertaining and competitive game. Next week should be pretty great as well.

Big question for the off season - was this Peyton Manning's last game? Because based on his difficulty performing today, maybe it should be.

Is it tattooed on her azz?

Porsche-O-Phile 01-11-2015 06:53 PM

Hope Manning realizes it's time to hang it up and doesn't tarnish his own legacy by being a Favre. He's an amazing QB and has done great things for the sport, but his time is over. I hope he goes with dignity. Respect.

He's all done. I'm kinda surprised they didn't bench him at half-time during Superbowl 48, tbh. Osweiler's got a cannon - they really needed it.

I don't see an injured Rodgers defeating the Seahawks defense, so I predict it will be Seahawks vs Patriots for the Superbowl.

Go Hawks! :D

The reversed call of Dez Bryant's CATCH was the most pathetic attempt ever of the NFL referees trying to right the wrong of last week's pass interference non call vs Detroit.... sad.

Nice to see the team with the two ugliest colors (black and gold) eliminated in their own building.

Hope Andrew Luck ends up holding the Lombardi trophy in a few weeks.

Dez Bryant's CATCH
I sorta felt for the guy.

BE911SC 01-11-2015 09:46 PM

Dear Dallas, we know exactly how you feel.

Regards,
The Detroit Lions

Thanks, now I'm all cross-eyed!

I'm glad the Seahawks won though. Not sure how I feel about the Broncos. It was great being the Seahawks fan at a party where everyone else was cheering for the Broncos last year. A reapeat would have been fun. :)

Almost....they won the week before on a controversial call. This week it goes the other way. That's life.

Dallas lost. All is good now.

I still don't understand why it wasn't a catch. Whenever a ball is not caught by the first to touch it and then it gets bounced around without touching the ground and eventually someone gets control of it, it's a catch or interception. How is this different?

Eric 951 01-12-2015 06:53 AM

Cowboys are out. That's good
Pats are in. That's bad
Lions got robbed last weekend.
Hope to see Colts Seahawks SB

It did touch the ground, that's why he didn't have control of it when he rolled over.

NFL playoffs

Would like to see Brady win another ring. The game against Indy next week should be good.

I felt he got gypped a few years ago in the SB against the Giants since the O-line didn't get the invitation to the game apparently and he spent about 15 minutes of the game on his arse on the field after repeated sacks and another 40 minutes on the sidelines while Eli Manning dominated the time of possession.

I like Brady. Always have.

If a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with or without contact by an opponent), he must maintain control of the ball throughout the process of contacting the ground, whether in the field of play or the end zone. If he loses control of the ball, and the ball touches the ground before he regains control, the pass is incomplete. If he regains control prior to the ball touching the ground, the pass is complete.

I believe this rule is void after making a move common to the game. So if you catch the ball, run around a defender and the ball is jarred lose by the ground when you're tackled, the pass is complete and the ball is dead at the point of contact.

Bryant says he took three steps and reached for the goal line. It's a difficult call.
