Wienermobile Crash

It has been all over the news today that the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile was damaged in an accident on a snowy road in Pennsylvania. But, I clicked on a link in one of the stories and came across this picture below of the Mini Wienermobile which was on the Oscar Meyer site. Finally a good use for a Mini.

Video of the crashed Wienermobile then the pic mentioned.

Road kill!

black73 02-16-2015 04:07 AM

Few things are worse than a broken wiener.

URY914 02-16-2015 04:13 AM

That will buff out. Just rub it real quick.

Mo_Gearhead 02-16-2015 04:32 AM

Probably caused by a distracted driver from a RED state. Maybe someone will post a map indicating who the worst drivers in America are?

Eyewitness reports say the driver was hauling buns...

It must have been chili out with so much snow on the road. I wouldn't relish being the driver.

Porsche-O-Phile 02-16-2015 05:06 AM

Never let your weiner get out of control - it can get you into trouble

He got himself into quite a pickle. The cops are grilling him at the station now. Maybe the escort car got too far ahead and he was trying to ketchup.

The guy who got rear-ended by that isn't happy at all. Not one bit.

petrolhead611 02-16-2015 07:15 AM

I thought getting unexpectedly rear-ended by a wiener only happened in prison

on2wheels52 02-16-2015 07:39 AM

It looks like the driver wasn't able to cut the mustard.

Nobody would want to admit having a mini-wiener mobile, but obviously the other one was too big to handle properly.

widebody911 02-16-2015 08:32 AM

My attorney has a first name...

cashflyer 02-16-2015 08:53 AM

Oscar's wiener is menace to society.

Should have "wrapped that rascal"
(re:that last photo)

nynor 02-16-2015 01:32 PM

that's what happens when you drive like a dick.

targa911S 02-16-2015 04:18 PM

I would have thought that with it being so cold it would have been a smaller vehicle..

trekkor 02-16-2015 05:35 PM

"Driver steps on own wiener... Story at 8"

Nickshu 02-16-2015 05:48 PM

Last summer I was driving on I-25 in Northern Colorado next to the Wienermobile in heavy bumper to bumper traffic going about 20-35mph for several miles. The girl driving almost ran it off the road twice and in coming back off the shoulder almost took out a line of cars. It appears the driver has just about no visibility in that thing. It also appears to have very crappy brakes.

pete3799 02-16-2015 05:53 PM

Good thing this wasn't involved.......He'd have kissed his wiener.

Pete FTW!

nynor 02-16-2015 05:55 PM

at least he would have had some nuts for his wiener...

Steve Carlton 02-16-2015 09:49 PM

Maybe these are mechanical failures. Possibly improper fluid levels or load ratings?

petrolhead611 02-17-2015 03:32 AM

Minis have more than adequate brakes. But the chassis is not designed to have the higher C of G
caused by fitting the sausage superstructure.

Steve Carlton 02-17-2015 06:32 AM

Solution- stiffer springs to support a carbon fiber wiener.
