Repairs

Had to make some repairs to my camel saddle, hope it's not too noticeable! Can you tell?

Camels aren't too fussy.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1426936708.jpg

what repairs?

vonsmog 03-21-2015 05:51 AM

I don't think your camel will even notice!:D

that's the beauty of camels--if they complain about upholstery, it's ok to trade them for a couple of lower maintenance versions.

Barely noticeable.......

herr_oberst 03-21-2015 06:51 AM

Part of the patina.

Funny how the saddle is a study in simplicity, but the saddle horse is an elaborate bent-wood device festooned with ornamentation.

OK but why do you have a camel saddle?

Thanks guys, I knew I did a pretty good job. Although let me get back to you on that. My wife hasn't seen it yet. Not sure she agrees with some of my repairs.

I've been fixing the squealing motor in our fridge freezer since 1981, she thinks we should get a new fridge, ...so the food tastes a little like WD40. What's wrong with that?

I would have went with staples...

I think it looks great. To heck with what your wife thinks. If she doesn't like it, let her fix it her own darn self.

If I had a camel and a busted saddle for my camel, I would totally ask you to fix it.

yellowperil 03-21-2015 07:05 PM

And I would be happy to accommodate.

yellowperil 03-22-2015 08:33 AM

So my wife saw the repair:

Here's how it went: (me) "I fixed the camel saddle" (her) "Saw it" (me) "What do
ya think?" (her) Better than the stuffing falling out" (me) "Will I have to hide it if company comes over?" (her) "Put the cat on it" (me) Will they think we're weird?"
(her) "Too late to worry about that" (her) "We should have a yard sale" (me) "look it's snowing again". ...end

Looks like a camel Toe with pink toenail polish.

Nice
Do you think that camel saddle repair tape would be okay to mend a few air leaks I have in my HVAC system?
Does it come in any other colors besides camel blood red?
Thanks
Bill K

Yes I think it's perfect for that.
It seems to come in every color except camel saddle brown.
