Nothing new under the sun.

On my mother's side the family was kidnapped and held by indians in the Illinois/Missouri area for a number of years until their rescue, probably about the 1830s. It seems as though the video talks about other parts of the world though.

There's a heap of stuff about white slavery in the US .... its a rather long interview.

My ancestors could have been slaves?

Every race has been enslaved at one time or another in the history of the world. Most choose not to use it as a crutch.

Look into the reason the US Navy was founded.

The slave ships would come into port and capture everyone in a town and sell them into slavery. It happened right in in the USA. The slave ships were Muslim slave ships. They captured entire towns in many countries.

Geez .. that's one cruse that I'll take a raincheck on if ever offered the choice ..

Just imagine coming back to town after a trip and finding every single person was stolen. Only a few lucky people that had good hiding spots remained and they tell you the slavers had come in and stolen everyone you know and sold them into slavery. How horrible.

Slavery is still a big thing in some muslim countries.
