Kraft Facing

I'm insulating my walkout basement walls. Most of the studs are 16" apart, but in a few places they are narrower--presumably to bear the load of the house above. The studs are as narrow as 2-9" apart in places. I had to cut rolls of insulation vertically for the wider (but still less than 16") non-standard spaces, meaning I could only staple one sid. I put loose insulation in the 2" gaps.

In the middle of this project, the decision was made to move back to Illinois. I now want to cover all of these non-standard widths with "kraft facing" cut and stapled all the way around so it looks presentable and matches the rolls of kraft-faced insulation that cover the majority of the basement walls. I just need the "kraft facing", not the attached insulation. Any ideas on where I can get it?

I've never seen any such like Chris. How about a roll of butchers paper?

Moving back to Illinois so soon?

Any builder supply store has it. Make sure you use the right stuff, though. Some kraft paper is plain but most has a coating on it to act as a vapor or moisture barrier in varying degrees of permeability depending on the coating. You probably want something that breaths but blocks moisture. If you describe your situation to the building supply sales person they'll fix you up with what you need.

I don't think a roll of clear plastic sheeting would work for the reason of not allowing breathability, I sceond that you should ask someone at Lowes/Home Depot about what is best.

Thanks guys! The stuff wdfifteen posted is in stock at my local store, so I can inspect it and make sure it is what I want.
