Took a 2 week surf/beach trip with some high school buddies, when I was in my early 20's.
The rental car was in my name, and I was young and poor, so I did not get rental insurance on it.
On the last day, on our way home, big fat Brian, was goofing around and smashed out the windshield from inside the car.
I was pissed because I knew it was going to cost me a few hundred bucks.
Brian calmed me down, and told me not to worry about it, that when we got back, he would return the rental car, and take care of all the damages. I thought was a noble gesture.
We got home Sunday night, I let him take the car to return in the morning. I call him about noon ish on Monday to see how the rental return went.
He said " no worries, I dropped the car off at night, and smashed out the windshield of every single car on their lot ".
In total shock, and not completely believing him, after work, I drove by the rental lot, and sure enough, there was not a single car on the lot without a broken window .
I never did hear back from the rental company

now that is thinking outside of the box....
