Repaired a 42" printer
 

Put a new carriage belt in a 42" printer this morn. Had to give it a test. The text in the 36" version pictured below was a little pixilated but the 24" test turned out well:

It look very magenta. Is your Cyan cartridge firing?

That is supposed to be a black car.

Yeah, the printer reports the black and yellow print heads are "worn out." It's still good enough to go on the garage wall...

You can make a custom profile in Photoshop to adjust the foot print.

The qwik n dirty way to do it is open the image, open your curves adjustment panel, pull the master so what you see on screen matches the print, then pull the curve to the opposite point and apply.
