Feeler: Looking for '73 Datsun 510 2-door

Maybe some of the folks in this forum know of a '73 Datsun 510 2-door in original near perfect condition for sale. Tall order, but who knows.

I used to have one of these back in my college days and thought it might be nice to have one again. Fun little cars. Great for autocross.

Seems that most have been turned into some kind of street rod/racer, but surely there are some that are original unmolested grandma's car for sale somewhere.

If anyone runs across such a vehicle, let me know.

This one on ebay is nice but don't really want to tackle rust issues. Worth watching though.

I love the Five and Dimes. My son works with a guy who has one that I would love to get my hands on but the pans are beyond gone. He also has a 240sx that he has taken the engine and drive train out of to put in the little car.
You have a tall order to fine a rust free factory car unless you want to take out a second mortgage

I also love the 510... but yeah, they were the hot Japanese hotrod platform back in the day so hard to find one that hasn't been modified.

Edit to add, found two ratty ones local on CL with rotary swaps.

Even a modified version would be acceptable IF it is rust free.

I've got one out back in the woods (pretty sure it was a 73) . It was my wife's car when we first met. It rusted out and I stole the motor for another project and scraped it. A giant cherry tree fell on it many years ago and squashed it. You're more than welcome to it.

Robert Adams: If I were in CA, I would make the trip. But if someone on the board wants to check it out and see what's there, that would be cool.

unclebilly: If a 4-door, not really interested, but if not rusty and running, maybe it could be turned for a slight profit.

I was ready to give this show a look... but it is just east of San Francisco... 600-700 miles from me.
