doppelgänger

double of a living person

Would you willingly meet your twin stranger?

Twin Strangers | Do you look like me?

Jim Richards 06-16-2015 12:10 PM

Not interested. The Internet has jumped the shark.

Weird! When I was in highschool and college out socializing alot at partys and bars etc people would mistake me for someone they knew often, I figure there at least 6 of me out there some onewhere.

I wonder if its a younger generation thing.

Every so often at the Tidal Power plant, I have someone mention I look, talk and act like their brother, uncle, cousin (pick one).
Not too hard to imagine, as there's a lot of northern UK genetic stock in eastern North America.
I've sort of gotten used to it.
My wife has often been told she looks like a woman we know, but I've never thought so.
One woman was even gauche enough to suggest to my wife that her father had a daughter outside the marriage. That was an interesting moment!

Best

I will be seeing a friend next week that looks much like I do. We both have had strangers mistake us for each other. Since he looks so much like George Clooney I can't complain.

More than a few people have taken a picture of the two of us and said we are brothers with different parents. He is a super nice guy.

Every single time I travel to a different city, I see the doppleganger of someone I know and I either get that momentary sense of deja vu, or else I get that sort of momentary "where the hell am I"

I wouldn't wish my looks on anyone....

I'm glad the millennial generation is spending its time on stuff like this

pcardude 06-16-2015 01:08 PM

Lol.

I worked for a guy for a while that was constantly mistaken for being Alice Cooper. Actually had a casino in Reno comp his room because they thought he was Alice.

No.

I'm not even entirely comfortable with that guy in the mirror. I'm surely not going to go meet what might be "another me". I'm betting he's a jerk.

So, if I meet my doppelganger and I fall in love with him, does that make me narcissistic or gay?

I have two cockatiels who feel the same.

I get this a lot ... What I do is shout out the person's name! Loud enough where they can hear it. That they of course do not react amuses me in a strange way. Sometimes I will follow it up with "hey xxx you don't recognize me?" :D

Not sure why you be interested in meeting your doppelgänger...

I would, but he died in a plane crash.

Aren't you a pilot? I find this highly suspicious.

Back in college there was a huge Corona beer bill board near my house and even I couldn't tell that the guy on the bill board wasn't me. It was a decent pick up line ;)
