Workstation Laptop?

I am trying to find a laptop computer that is a mean mother super fast workstation.

I really have to have dual video cards like the Nvida 980, 32 gig RAM is a very minimum. I really need 128 or at least 64.

An i7 8 core CPU or faster. Multiple SSD hard drives running in a stripe raid.

I can't find anything in a laptop that takes more than 32 Gig of RAM. All of the other parts can be stuffed into a laptop but the ram is the limit.

My giant desktop tower computer has all of that but just 32 gig of ram. It pegs out the ram on large jobs and really slows down. I may well swap motherboards and go to a dual CPU with lots more ram.

Have any of you ever found a laptop with more than 32 gig of RAM?

Few laptops that have 4 ram slots and availability of 16 gb sticks.

A quick search says Eurocom has a gamer laptop with 64 ... WTH do you need with 64 or 128 GB of RAM?

how about simply using Remote Desktop from mobile to monster tower? --that would be the ease way.

This just popped up on Woot.

It's spendy but has some really nice specs to justify it.

We ended up getting a Alienware monster laptop. It would crush your lap and toast your legs. It has twin Nvidia 880 graphics cards and three SSD drives, 32 Gig RAM and it hits a 7.9 on the Windows performance test with Windows 7 Ultimate.

So I have to ask, will it play Crysis (Sorry, old joke).

I don't even know what that is. I guess a game of some sort. I don't even have Freecell on my computers. It is ironic that we end up having to buy gaming computers to get the power to run the software we use. We are working on a job that just the south 1/2 of the project is over 200 gig of data and the desktop server size computer churns on it for a week.

The real question is will it run Lotus 1-2-3?

(even older joke)

Gaming rigs have high end GPU's.

Rendering, shading, pushing polygons, on the fly is what they are meant to do.

Depending on the SW suite a lot of times these days the GPU is far more critical than CPU.
