Female MMA fighters. Rousey is tops in the bantam weight class. Lotta hate between the two fighters.

I am checking the news blogs. I have never done a PPV and won't start now. IMO BC is totally unarmed for this fight...but it's all about the $ in a fight like this. Nobody, again IMO, is even close to Ronda except for Cybog. In that fight I still see Ronda prevailing...at any weight. Cybog is not smart enough to win it.

The even started at 7ET with a few fights in front. I would think it was over by now but I can't find any news on it and I don't want to pony us $59 to watch it!

Rhonda's mom was a judo medal winner. It's in her DNA. I read an interview with Rhonda where she said her mom would sneak into her bedroom at night and attempt to put her in an arm bar while she was sleeping! Rhonda said it taught her reflexes that are unconscious. She also said she was never successful. Rhonda scares me.

I read somewhere Ronda herself was a judo champion and switched to MMA. She don't scare me anymore than Mike Tyson does. She doesn't bite.

I wish it would have gone longer because it was a really good fight. Ronda is a skilled boxer, something that is rare in UFC and unheard of among women fighters. I was a little surprised that it never went to the ground but the challenger never had a chance either way, IMO.
I usually never bother trying to watch UFC fights but really wanted to see this one. Was downtown putting my BMW bike back together and googled sports bars who might have it, went to drive past one at about 10 or 11 and sure enough, there was a huge crowd on the sidewalk watching on multiple screens on patio. Rousy fight was just about to begin and cars were double parked on both sides of street with drivers watching through open car windows. I parked in the red and got out, it was fun to watch it with a huge crowd of random strangers, many chanting, USA! USA! and laughing and having fun on a warm summer night.

Gonna be interesting if Ronda and Cyborg ever go at it. Pretty obvious Ronda should be in a higher weight class. She looks like a skelagen at weigh-in. Cyborg is done with steroids, apparently. Lotsa of hatin' on Ronda for cutting maybe two classes just to stay undefeated.
She (Ronda) is pretty good at trash-talk. Would be a better fight if she had to go more than a minute against a bigger girl. I mean fighter-no disrespect intended! Plus, I like both my arms bending at the right places and in the right directions. |

Talent pool is not deep enough, maybe in a few years Ronda will get a good fight. This little 19 yr old Aspen Ladd trains at our dojo from time to time. She's a natural talent and just got signed by Invicta.
