Hotmail / OutLook Issue- question
 

Braintrust - I have multiple hotmail (now OutLook) email accounts I use. Recently 1 account opens only to a 'Preview' mode. I do not understand why. I also cannot seem to 'see' any settings within my account to change this.

Not sure I understand. You can only see the preview of messages, not the entire thing?

From the View menu, select Reading Pane or Preview Pane, and then select Off.

I also have two HM/OL accounts and noticed that one has been changed to a new format.
When it first pops up, it says "Preview".

Yes, it does not refer to the reading pane view. The text - '(Preview)' appears in the upper band where Microsoft OutLook logo is, just above the body of email folders.

Bump - still unanswered.....................

I hate the new Hotmail upgrade they made, changed the display layout.


Click on the gear top right, go to display settings, enable/disable your preview screen.

When I do that - there is no preview screen / option under display settings - only reading pane / message list and conversation options are shown with the the option list below

Reading pane, which is disabled has no effect

In the upper area (black background) banner where displayed - the text appears exactly like this:
