I just don't think we need to complain about everything. My opinion. I bet the headlights on that same rig is more of a PIA to other drivers.

I had an Escalade for a week through my work. The EXT big-azz version. It was strange, but I always felt the need to cut other drivers off and not really give a damn. Then...slam on my brakes to show off the tail lights. :)
It was an odd phenomenon. Really nice driving truck if you're into Trucks. I'm not, especially $100K trucks. |
It's amazing that out on the highway, it's usually big self-important azzholes who are always in a hurry that drive these big SUVs (usually painted black ). Three different occasions on a 3 hour trip, I was nearly run off the road by these Dbags....following at 1-2 car lengths at 70 mph until I finally got the hell out of thier way.
Usually, the only view of the taillights on one of these vehicles is disappearing in the distance ahead of me doing 85 MPH. |
I have been behind a lot of things that I did not like.

I know there safety regs for front lights... what about rears? I think these are brighter than they need to be. Hate getting stuck behind one of these at a traffic light at night.
|
Yup, I hate getting behind one of those POS with LED tail lights.

We'll let everything else slide for now. |
+1 to Byron. Azzholes that cannot get out of the left lane for faster moving traffic are way worse than any vehicles tail lights.

and they will set off your V1 laser

I have put on my sunglasses at night, sitting behind Audis at a traffic light. Of course, they all being automatics, people will be on the brake lights until the light turns green or you are blind.
Next big thing is laser headlamps. :) G |

Evidently, I didn't see the non-exsistant flashing emergency lights on thier vehicle. |

Since when do Porsche owners whine about someone driving 70 in a 60MPH (or 50) zone? When I see faster traffic coming up, I move over, doesn't matter if I'm doing 80, if I'm in the right lane, behind someone, and I see faster traffic coming in the left lane, I wait for them to pass or if they are faster than I anticipated, I SPEED up to move out of their way, it is called Common Courtesy.. Doesn't matter if I'm driving one of my 911s, 914-6s, 944 track cars (the street legal ones) turbo "S", 2500 Burb or old Trans Am, if I see a FASTER car approaching, I move over and let them by. Last summer, I was driving the Turbo "S" and a Lambo came up real fast, I moved over (was doing about 80) and he blew past me at at least a 125mph, I just laughed, I didn't bet mad, didn't call him a Dbag, but figure if he keeps driving like that, it would solve itself. Sorry, you were the inconsiderate DBag who lacked Common Courtesy, not the faster guy. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1445630405.jpg Back to topic <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/X2LTL8KgKv8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> When I see some of these LEDs, I always think of video games that I DIDN't play as a kid. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/cZfsnA7dAHI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Raining buckets on the highway yesterday.
50 feet visibility, barriers on both sides, zero runoff. Puddles and hydroplanning. etc. Wipers were null. Road signs said "There were 25 traffic deaths last week in Ohio". Blinded by the lazer headlights of a speeding Escalade pushing through traffic at the wrong places. Had to duck down to be able to see. |

Personally think these overly bright lights are a huge hazard. Distracting and blinding. |
