Southeast PA on Dec. 2 - Phil-a-Frunk
 

The local Jeep clubs have gone and challenged our total donation from last year - they're even making their run on the same day. Since one of the Jeep clubs is affiliated with the radio station this seems a bit unfair.

The organizers at RTR gave me the OK to invite Porsche owners who don't belong to the PCA.


This was a hoot last year. We got 133 cars last year just from the Club -including a lovely Alfa and my neighbor's flame spitting 74 Super Beetle.

If you give me an RSVP I'll pass it along - the organizers would like some idea how many cars we are getting.

Wednesday December 2nd , please join your fellow Riesentoter members in “Phil-a-Frunk for Philabundance.”


We will once again unite with WMMR’s “Camp Out For Hunger” to help fill the food banks of the Delaware Valley in order to feed the million or more people in our region who go hungry every day. Our club members are fortunate enough to own one of the finest production vehicles in the world -Porsche, yet there are many around us that are not so fortunate. There are many around us that couldn’t even fathom paying to fill up our tanks with gas because they can’t even fill up on food.
Last year's Riesentoter members raised 7,460 pounds of food or 8,000 meals for Philabundance in a 2 mile caravan featuring 131 Porsches. We were the fifth largest donator that week. With our Riesentöter Family and the help of all our area Porsche dealers (Bucks, Conshohocken, Lehigh Valley and Porsche of the Main Line) and Capital Grille in King of Prussia - we can help exceed those amounts.
Join us by filling your frunk or trunk with nonperishable items (see below) and meet us in the Capital Grille's parking lot in King of Prussia. We will have hot chocolate on hand for everyone and should you come straight from work, Captial Grille will be giving our members a nice send off in the form of some choice appetizers.
At 7:30pm we will Caravan (this will literally be a food drive) down to Xfinity Live in Philadelphia to the Sports Complex via a FIRE ESCORT by Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company as well as snaking our way past mall traffic with the help of the Upper Merion Township Police Department (76 east, to 476 south, to 95 North, exit at Broad Street). Then, in array of generosity pop our frunks to help those less fortunate this holiday season. Please ask your family and friends to join us. We should have no problem beating last year's goals so please RSVP so we can break some more records

Choose products that are in boxes, cans, or plastic bottles and do not have to be refrigerated such as:
• Canned/ Shelf-stable tuna and or Chicken/meat
• Macaroni and Cheese
• Canned/Boxed Pasta
• Canned Beef Stew
• Canned Chili
• Creamy Peanut Butter
• Jelly
• Canned Green Beans
• Canned Corn
• Canned Fruit
• Breakfast Cereal and Hot Cereal
• Non-refrigerated boxed or powered milk/rice milk

This event is not to be missed last year was a Blast! Those Jeepers dont stand a chance!

OH nice. I think I'm going to be in the city that day working, so I don't think I'll be able to attend. Convenient that the starting point is around the corner from Costco, Wegmans, and Walmart to load up on the way!

When my schedule is a bit clearer I'll let you know if I can attend.

For a nemesis the jeep club is looking pretty weak. Our caravan is 26 miles with a police and fire escort - they are caravaning from the opposite parking lot.

I know it's wet today - bring your daily driver if you have to. The club and the grille are providing shelter at our meeting place, along with some snacks.

The SCWDP will be represented, plus you will get to see the famous "flame spitting" 74 beetle.

Come on out guys - it's a good cause and a good time!
