I look forward to a Tesla pickup truck that "Joe six pack" can afford.
And/or a car. |

I don't get it. How are you going to go on a 100+ mile adventure with your electric SUV?

Why are only the rear doors "gullwing"? Whatever the benefits of that design of door, wouldn't they be better realized in the front?. Most cars, even soccer mom SUVs, are occupied in front a lot more than in the rear.

Most SUVs (in Australia, and I'm assuming the US and Europe) are for dropping kids at school / tennis / soccer, etc. In other words, suburban runabouts. (If not, why are so many "SUVs" not 4WD?) It's got that market sized up brilliantly. And the rear gullwing doors are going to have every kid (including the husbands) pushing for it on the shortlist.

Very cool car with great tech, not worth anywhere near the price though.

Nope. I'm not the target market, so I gots nothing constructive to add. It's as ugly as the Aztek to me.

I appreciate the visionary that is Elon Musk, though. And I like the sedan.

Okay. Okay. That was a bit much. I give you that. And to be perfectly honest, as I was about to hit the 'Post Quick Reply' button, I was thinking that maybe this was/is a vehicle (the Tesla, not the Aztek) that could grow on me.

It's the "anti-automobile". Everyone will love it, few will be able to afford it. I think it's good to bring attention to the industry, and electric cars. Otherwise, no one would care, because they're selling horribly (electric cars compared to IC engines that is).
