Bella the dog needs some help

I saw this on the news this morning and wanted to help. Maybe some here could help as well. I think Bella will need $12-15K of vet bills paid up front...

Looks like the gofundme page is doing well to get her the surgery she needs:

It's unfortunate and sad what happened to the dog.

That being said, it's even MORE unfortunate that the owner, that obviously can't afford financially tending to the dogs needs, has to reach out to the public through "crowd funding" means rather than finding a veterinarian or veterinarian school that would take the dog in and tend to its needs pro bono if for nothing else the notoriety and/or adding it to their resume.

You can't expect many dog owners to have $12K on hand. It was the woman who found the dog who set up the gofundme account. Can't blame the owner for rolling with it.

Done, means I made a donation. Last I checked they were close... up to 10,000. Just checked again $11,443

But thats exactly the sole purpose of "crowd funding":confused::confused:

Note that the lady who found the dog started the crowd funding, not the owners.

I have mixed feelings spending that much money on a pet, but on the bright side, it makes the donors feel good, a few bucks at a time, and at least the dog is young and has a full life ahead of it. I have seen a lot worse crowd funding requests for sure!

Woof,

Please know that we are not leaving our name for any credit. We saw this story about sweet Bella and hoped that everyone would help reach the $12.000 goal by the end of the weekend and because of all of the caring people out there, we have. Thank you to everyone who supports Bella. We did it. Now do the right thing and take care of this beautiful puppy.
