One of my favourite Eagles concerts - several songs from it on You Tube.

This is my favourite of all those songs....it features Mr. Glenn Fry...celebrate and enjoy....that's what Glenn would have wanted.

Just saw the Eagles in July and Glen didn't look so great but I wasn't expecting this. RIP.

Hotel California was the first album I bought. I think I was 13. I will miss them much.

Re: that killer version (posted above) of Lyin Eyes, man that Felder had chops. Not only great lead and fills, he even makes that guitar sound like a mandolin.

So much talent.

RIP Glenn Frey.

June 2014. O2 Arena, Dublin. Lucky to have been this close, to sing along, to feel the emotion. Thank you and RIP Mr. Frey.

I feel a true sadness over this one. The Eagle's just had such a musical connection. I remember how the Hotel California album was such a hit in the neighborhood and listening to a best of cassette over and over as I cruised around in my first car. How youth escapes us.

Yeah, he was really great. I was pretty bummed out when Glenn punted him out of the band and I thought less of Glenn after that.

I think it really bothers Don, to this day, to no longer be a part of the band.

Very sad news, indeed. Over the years, despite what genre I was into, Hotel California always found its way into rotation. Masterclass.

I'll be searching Netflix for this tonight; http://www.thewrap.com/the-eagles-two-part-documentary-heads-to-netflix/

I've seen it before. Awesome.

Another sad loss. The Eagles made some great music for us.

This morning I asked my 14 y o if he knew the band the Eagles, mum nope dad.

So I played a couple of songs for him. He often shares some of his music with me in the mornings. Mostly electronica, And Dub step.

So after listing to some of the eagles, I asked him what he thought.
He said Hum, not bad for what they had to work with.

Yeah, just guitars keyboards, drums and voices.

sorely missing the syntheses, electronic, computed generated sounds ( trying not to say noise ) he is used to.

Funny !

R I P Glen.

He will be missed from the neighborhood here in Haena, where he has had a home for 30 plus years.

Aloha Richard

When pieces of your 'brush with greatness' past start to age and die, you feel... mortal.

Spent an evening with the band at Caribou... now I guess relegated to a galaxy far, far away.

Glenn is an icon... not to be replaced, or forgotten, may he rest now in peace with no more pain.
