Flying collage video
Friend sent me this clip of his flying. I thought it was pretty cool..
A day in the life of a pilot, from takeoff until touchdown.. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tXatDsvw0PY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
None of those runways was Seatac. (Seatac is a 16-34 layout.) The jet isn't a 737, it looks smaller, like an RJ or a corporate jet. RJ guys love their GoPros.

What is the equipment?
Great scenery... |
Fantastic !!
@4:00 Min it's the Jackson Hole 19 Approach It still one of the most spectacular approaches. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1455127220.jpg |
Its a Citation X and the first big airport is Montreal and yes on JAC. He had about 15 minutes of footage prior to that approach he sent me on another clip that looks just amazing!

That approach is sooooo typical of Jackson Hole in the winter. Beautiful cloudless sky EXCEPT along the approach to the airport. It's a one-way-in and opposite way out, so everyone waits until the one guy that is IFR arrives or gets radar contact going out. Went in there for many years in a Gulfstream. Quite often our departure would 'burn' a VFR hole at the airport that several props would use to get out quickly as long as the wind was calm.
