? about Hershey swap meet
I just bought an 87 911 cabrio and I'm going to change the interior out (it's burgundy and I want to make it tan). How likely am I to find the parts I need at Hershey, and would it be cheaper than sourcing them on the classifieds here and from dismantlers? The drive is about 6.5 hrs, plus a night in a hotel, so maybe $200 in costs. Will I save that vs. shipping costs?

Hershey is great to visit. Odds of finding interior are better from dismantled. If you find one on the north east coast ask them to bring it to Hershey win win.

If I had an interior to sell, I would not drive to PA to sell it. I would just list it on Ebay. So, I think anyone selling an interior at Hershey will also be advertizing it somewhere online. I would focus online (Ebay, Pelican, etc)

You won't find it there, never very much in the way of interior other than beat to heck seats.

you might or might not succeed. I attend Hershey every year, and some years there are more interior parts than others. There are always dashes, and clusters, as well as seats. Often the stuff is in tough shape, or certainly not lightly used. Sometimes you can strike gold - after all, it is the largest Porsche exclusive swap meet in the country. You can find some very hard to locate and often nla things too.

Why don't you post a WTB add on different sites. Something may pop.

I have the complete tan leather interior (other than seats) from an 86 Turbo that I bought from a fellow Pelicanite several years ago. I intended to upgrade the blue vinyl interior in my 1984 Cab to leather, but I decided the project was beyond me for now. It's moldering away in my garage right now. Would it be of any interest to you?
I also have an infinite number of vinyl and partial leather regular driver's seats I bought before I finally bit the bullet and got a real full leather set of driver's seats. I'd have saved a lot of money if I had purchased the full leather seats first. None are sports seats.

Hershey is hit and miss. You may find what you're looking for .Most of the good stuff is gone by 9 in the morning. Have you tried DC Automotive. They're in North Carolina.

I have a customer who lives in Toronto bringing half of his car to me at the end of the month. Presumptuous I know, but if he's willing to haul seats, etc. back home in his pick-up, if you find a set you can have it shipped here to avoid crazy shipping to Canada.
