rip audio from dvd?

I have several educational dvd's- from great courses and a couple of others.
I would like to listen to the audio only in the car- like an audio book.
Is there an easy way to rip or burn the audio tracks to mp3 files so I can play it from the car?
I can buy a program if needed.
Any experience?
Thanks
gary

How to Rip DVD Audio to MP3 Using VLC Media Player

If the DVD has an ISO file then use ISO Buster, works great to open the single file and show what is inside so you can save it.

Thanks- got it working.
I had found the How to Rip DVD Audio to MP3 Using VLC Media Player but I could not get handbrake to work. I found slysoft program to take the iso to mp4 file, then vlc from mp4 to mp3audio.
Works great.
Thanks
Gary
