Honestly on the Wolftone pedals, IMHO you'd have a very strong case for infringement.

It's not just specific product confusion, it's also industry. You are both in the same space and manufacturers tend to make more than one product.

I can certainly see a consumer assuming the pedals and your pickups are the same brand.

Yeah, you're right. It does irritate me, especially since I was delving into making pedals a few years ago. Particularly irritating is the fact that, when I spoke to him last weekish, he admitted to being aware of our brand shortly after starting that pedal line and wondered if it might be an issue.

QC is always a part of a properly issued license.

It can cover not only the product but you can bake in everything including the materials used for packaging.

This is the most pertinent reply. The over-arching impression I get from you is that you are a nice guy, definitely talented but this is what lawyers are for. They send people like this a letter and then take it from there if they don't comply. No need to ever get your hands dirty or be involved personally in what is a purely business situation. And a very valuable part of your business, this could sink you completely and close you down.

I agree, but they are already out in the wild.

Even more reason to approach it.

If the guys QC sucks then it already potentially negatively affects Wolfe.

Totally agree there.
