Batman vs Superman

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1459449799.jpg

SPOILERS...

it wasn't the complete abortion i was told to expect. don't think i wasted my almost three hours. but a really flawed movie.

it was like watching msnbc. there were so many profound issues they tried to discuss but couldn't due to a lack of intellect. lex luther was a twitching basket case. almost as bad as ultron.

what was the dream/time travel warning from the future thing?

in the beginning, wayne is flying in a helicopter desperate to save the people in his tower. then he stops, lands, and drives the rest of the way. why?

Agree, never really following the DC story line with Superman or Batman or any of them, there are departures and stretches...I really wish these movies followed the graphic novels a bit more.

some studio could make a lot of money doing a line for line version of the 80s frank miller batman.

mystery to me as to why they never have.

just killing time till suicide squad.

rusnak 03-31-2016 11:41 AM

The studios have never respected Frank Miller's work, other than the Sin City movies, which were really awesome - but not kids' movies.

I remember reading Frank Miller's Daredevil as a kid. I was blown away by reading this comic book that had the look, feel, and sounds of a big budget movie. When he stopped doing the penciling, the book just died. I think Suicide Squad may, MAY come close to that.

Yeah. Saw it last night. MEH. I think I'm done with comic book movies, now. SHEEEESH. I only saw this one because one of my kids wanted to go. It had some good moments, but...

I thought it looked terrible, thanks for confirming.

I would give it a low ranking as well. I think they tried to jam wayyy too many story lines in way too short of time. I also thought they could have done a better job for Wonder Woman's story. For the first half, I honestly had no idea what was going on. The explosions and fight scenes were pretty epic though.

No Stan Lee (Mike drop...)

stan lee created spider man, not batman.

major nerd fail.

stealthn 03-31-2016 02:45 PM

That's why it failed - major interpretation fail.

sc_rufctr 03-31-2016 02:51 PM

I saw it last night with my son. He loved it! Me not so much but it was ambitious.
The final fight sequence was beyond epic and that alone made it worth seeing.

I don't mean to PARF this but did anyone else notice the "Jesus" references?

The scenes towards the end could have been lifted from any number of religious paintings of the crucifixion.

I thought they were on the same side of the law. What am I missing?

sammyg2 03-31-2016 03:16 PM

The predator would so kick batman's ass. Give him a few ounces of krypto and he would take out super-dweeb too :)
